Kapolei Interchange Soil Nail Wall

(Hawaii Department of Transportation) This soil nail wall project on the Kapolei Interchange was constructed for hillside stabilization, erosion control, and public safety.  Scope of work was slope surface preparation, drilling of 1,210 linear feet of 25′ deep soil nail anchors, installation of anchored wire mesh along slope, shotcrete test panels, wale bars, geocomposite drainage strips and weep holes, 4” thick temporary shotcrete during slope excavation, 7400 Square feet of sculpting with certified experienced sculpting crew, ACI certified nozzlemen, top 1’ thick shotcrete pad & bottom 2’ deep shotcrete footing.
