Pali Highway Shotcrete Honolulu

(DOT Honolulu) The intent of this shotcrete project was to mitigate rockfall hazards impacting the Pali Highway in Nu’uanu in order to increase public safety. This project began with vegetation clearing and rock scaling. Prometheus then drilled 2′ deep anchor bar holes at 8′ on center across the hillside.  #6 anchor bars were then installed and grouted in place.  Drainage was achieved by installing weepholes across the entire slope at 8′ on center.   The area was then sprayed with shotcrete by our two in house ACI certified nozzlemen and stained to match the existing colors of the wall along the highway.
